Fashion is the third most polluting industry and there is currently a lawless global system. As the detrimental impacts of conventional fashion practices become increasingly apparent, ranging from excessive resource depletion to hazardous waste generation and exploitative labor practices, there is a pressing need to explore and advocate for sustainable alternatives. This research delves into the pivotal role that sustainable fashion plays in mitigating these challenges, offering viable solutions for a more ecologically responsible and socially equitable fashion ecosystem. By shedding light on the environmental benefits of eco-friendly materials, ethical production processes, and responsible consumer behavior, this report not only contributes to academic discourse but also serves as a catalyst for fostering awareness and inspiring tangible change within the fashion industry, ultimately steering it towards a more sustainable and ethical future.
